Pumpkins, Apples and Gates

We headed to a local (and by local we mean less than three miles away!) farm this morning. First we picked out four pumpkins (you can guess why...) and then we went to pick our own apples- which was pretty cool. The apple trees are much bigger up close than they appear from the road- and some of the apples were HUGE. Needless to say, we have enough apples for many pies, snacks, and applesauce for quite a long time. We haven't made anything with them yet, but we have plenty to go around.
We also spent today moving the couch in the living room to create a one-exit path from the living room and getting the baby gates back out... Kaitlyn is one the move (unfortuntely little Paul may not be strong enough to step on the pedal to open the gates, but we're tyring to help him out). She'll happily sit and play in one spot, but if she sees something of interest (especially the stuffed scarecrow which now in it's third place in the house since she LOVES heading right for it), she'll quickky crawl across the room. YIKES!

Leaves changing color, pumpkin choosing, apple picking- doesn't get much better than that!

Can't wait to try some of your tasty treats! YUM! Little guy, if you make me some applesauce, I'll make you some "ploch and chewy!"

Paul, you are the "apple" of my eye and Kate you are the cutest little "punkin" around!

Here's a great big squeeze-hug and kiss for you both!

Much love, Nana QQOOXX

This definitely has to be one of the best ways to spend a fall day as a family. Love that you got four pumpkins. We always had to get five. Then at some point, my brothers and I demanded one for the dog too. I think after that, my mom said three pumpkins is enough.

What a treat to be living right in Apple Country and to enjoy the fruits of the season.

Happy Pumpkin and Apple Time!
Next you will need to carve out your pumpkins.

Love and kisses, Gram and BB
