This weekend was Paul's 31st birthday- somehow that felt older to him than 30 (or is it the two children who seem to zap most of our energy and the fact that not only do we have a house, but we're in the process of refinancing it, which made him feel old?).
We had a fun dinner with Gram and BB Saturday night (translate- little Paul made Gram dig in the dirt and plant flowers until dinner time, at which point he and BB waited "patiently" for birthday cake- a fruit tart). We went to Home Depot and Chili's on Sunday for the 'real' birthday. 
Of course I had to post this one- Paul tried to make a get away with one of the gifts...

Ok...I'm laughing so hard at the last photo that I'm coughing!!! That is priceless. Paul is probably like..that's my boy! :) Hilarious!!

.....and a great time was had by all, young and old (3l), short and tall. A great family get together to celebrate Daddy Paul's birthday.
Happy Birthday to Paul! What a lot to show for such a young daddy . . . I enjoyed all these pictures and hope you know what a special family you have.
