Some of the fun (and fatigue!) around our house these days is related to the arrival 2nd child around February 18th. This past Monday we had an ultrasound to check everything out (all was okay)- here is a snapshot of Baby Fern #2 (as we've been calling him/her). The little one was really scrunched up for most of the ultrasound so we didn't get to see a "full body" picture but here is their head, belly and an arm or two.
We were telling Paul that this is a picture of his new brother or sister, but it doesn't seem to register. He's very good at giving the baby (mommy's belly) kisses, hugs and even sharing his juice or milk with the baby. Mommy's belly button even got a goldfish one day at snack time (Paul thought the baby was hungry).

Its hard not to love a child's perception of life! I can't wait to see you all again.
How amazing! I'm sure Paul will make a terrific big brother.
And did I spy a 'Stoga swimming sweatshirt? A true classic!
what a wonderful photo of Baby Fern II, the Redfern family is growing bigger, and stronger, and better all the time.
What a fun day to spend together in the Apple Country side. Those pumpkins have certainly found a wonderful friend to love them and to enjoy them.Love you all, GramMoose
yes, that is a Conestoga swimming sweatshirt circa 1994.... the day it doesn't fit (and not due to pregnancy!) or totally falls apart will be very sad....
