Sorry for the delay in posts- it was a busy week in our house.
Kaitlyn really wanted to try and use the camera in this picture:
"Mommy, Kaitlyn's crawling towards the newspaper basket again. I'll move it!":
How tall is BB?
How tall is daddy?
Playing football with Uncle Ryan and Lauren when they were visiting last Sunday:
Kaitlyn and her Uncle Ry hanging out (the Eli jersey somehow was put on while Lauren and I were out shopping...hmmm....)
Look mom- I got myself up!
And, I'm even in the same outfit (this picture was taken prior to 7am... ;)

Halloween- take 1
Tonight was the Fall Fest party for Paul and Kaitlyn's daycare- what a fun way to finish the day! It was a beautiful day for a walk across camps from the Growing Place to the 'big party' as Paul described it.
In case you can't tell, Kaitlyn is a strawberry this year and Paul is a "worker"- the slow/stop sign that is used to direct traffic at a construction zone.
There were tons of fun games for the kids- Paul spent a lot of the time with the play doh but also made a pumpkin face.
And this may be my favorite picture from the night- as you can see, Kaitlyn is "active" ... poor Gram got the bad end of this deal :) and i was laughing while taking the picture:

Reading the paper and a messy dinner
Last night the kids and I were solo for the evening as Paul was at a school board meeting. Kaitlyn continues to enjoy crawling around and discovering parts of the house where she hasn't spent much time- the kitchen, for example, fascinates her! The minute she crawls from the living room carpet and gets into the kitchen, a big smile (and sometimes a squeal!) appears. Last night while getting dinner ready I noticed she had taken an interest in our basket of newspapers.... it amused her for almost 10 minutes.
Then during dinner little Paul wanted to help feed her (which he likes to do at least a few times a week)- most of the time he does a great job of actually getting the food into her mouth... most of the time...

Pumpkins, Apples and Gates
We headed to a local (and by local we mean less than three miles away!) farm this morning. First we picked out four pumpkins (you can guess why...) and then we went to pick our own apples- which was pretty cool. The apple trees are much bigger up close than they appear from the road- and some of the apples were HUGE. Needless to say, we have enough apples for many pies, snacks, and applesauce for quite a long time. We haven't made anything with them yet, but we have plenty to go around.
We also spent today moving the couch in the living room to create a one-exit path from the living room and getting the baby gates back out... Kaitlyn is one the move (unfortuntely little Paul may not be strong enough to step on the pedal to open the gates, but we're tyring to help him out). She'll happily sit and play in one spot, but if she sees something of interest (especially the stuffed scarecrow which now in it's third place in the house since she LOVES heading right for it), she'll quickky crawl across the room. YIKES!
