Here are some pictures from last week- a return of Kaitlyn's sunglasses and both kids playing "together."
Not much else going on this week as little Paul is recovering from Bronchitis, and so far Paul and I have some version of his cold- forunately Kaitlyn is not sick (and hopefullly will stay that way!).

Happy Memorial Day!
Hope everyone enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend- Paul is trying to make some concoction to put on our hamburgers tonight and I'm scared. His first try included red wine vinegar, brown sugar, tomatoes, onions, crushed red pepper, worstechire sauce....now the mayo is out of the fridge...
Uncle Ryan moved into his apartment in Gburg for the summer so we saw him and Nana over the weekend, which of course meant more outdoor playtime for little Paul and Uncle Ry- including some time with the soccer goals we got for him and the great little-Paul sized golf clubs from Uncle Ry!
Kaitlyn has had a few days with lots of smiles- including some big smiles in her Memorial Day shirt... which lasted about 30 minutes until it headed to the laundry pile.

Wrap up from this week...
Sorry for the delay in posts, but here are some of our fun memories from this week. On Monday, Aunt Char and Charles came to visit to meet Kaitlyn- what a great visit. Kaitlyn took a nice nap and we all enjoyed lunch on the back porch with Gram (something I thought I would do a lot more often while on leave, but this was the first time!).
Kaitlyn has been getting a lot stronger, so here she is exercising on her tummy.
Gram also got her this cool new chair/saucer thing which she can sit in- so far she's gotten a few of the toys to spin by flailing her arms, but I think she's getting closer to doing it intentionally.
Her big brother has also squeezed into it... quite a sight.
Although I didn't get a picture, Paul brought home a rock painted red, like a ladybug, this afternoon from day care. He was so excited. After dinner he planted the rock in his garden but then decided that he wanted the rock to come back inside with us. We washed some of the dirt off the rock (and Paul), so we'll see what happens to the rock over the weekend....

Happy Three-Month Birthday, Kaitlyn!
Yesterday was Kaitlyn's three month birthday, so here's her post-it note picture (I admit it was taken today, so she's three months and one day old):
Also, Gram snapped this shot of two very tired little kids yesterday at nap time while daddy was helping at the college's graduation- Paul showed his fatigue by not wanting to give up playing and Kaitlyn was crying...
And here is a shot from last week when Paul decided to share his blueberry pie.. with his face (and of course call BB to tell him we were eating pie and ice cream!).

When you leave mommy alone at home....
Happy Mother's Day
We had a great mother's day and at times couldn't believe that we have two children to celebrate with on such a special day! We all got to do some of our favorite things- daddy went to the "donut store" (7-11) with Paul, Mommy got to go for a run (albeit a short one!), little Paul got to pick out some new flowers with Gram at a huge nursery/greenhouse nearby and then plant them, and Kaitlyn.. well.. she ate, slept and played.

Kaitlyn's Baptism
On Saturday we celebrated Kaitlyn's baptism at the College chapel. Uncle Ryan and Aunt Katherine were the godparents and we we went back to the Redfern house afterwards for dinner, cake, and ice cream. Paul was a wonderful big brother and Kaitlyn cried just a couple of times.
