Pillow Running

Yesterday Dad played with Pop Pop and Dave Sowers and Matt Rothenberger in the Gettysburg College Orange & Blue Club Golf Classic. They did a great job finishing 3rd in the 3rd flight. This morning it started to rain at about 10 am so we had to do some fun inside games. You can see one of them here...

A truck, a chair and proud grandparents

After a great weekend visiting daddy's family, we are home safe and sound (although not sure how awake we will be at work tomorrow!). It seemed as if Paul grew up over the weekend as he added new words to his repetoire (including proudly naming Grandma R "Nanna" and Grandpa R "PopPop" since he can say both of those words!) and has begun to develop a great personality- including wanting to sit in 'his chair' on the back porch with daddy and PopPop when they were having their morning juice (coffee)- so Paul would drag his chair to the back door to join them with his OJ.

Paul was chased around the house by his uncles, helped to plant impatients in the front yard (we joked that PopPop was "patient" with his "impatient" helper), went to the park, played with homemade playdough from Nanny for the first time (including some red boxing mits made by PopPop) and was tickled by his Uncles.

Here are some pictures from our time in NJ playing outside with Uncle Chris and like father like son reading the paper while having lunch.

Who needs a driver's permit?

Before getting ready for bed last night, Paul had a great time "driving" with daddy... with the toy cars, of course.

There was quite a fun race as daddy and Paul drove speedily around each other (and mommy).

Cheers!

Here is a picture of one of daddy's new tricks that he's taught Paul- to do "cheers" before your meal. This was at breakfast one morning when little Paul was probably thinking "if I do cheers, daddy may give me some of his english muffin...."

This is graduation weekend at Gburg, so daddy is helping today and tomorrow. Mommy is spending little Paul's nap cleaning out the downstairs play room/cave. Oh my... I found some fun pictures from our wedding while looking through old bags to clean up.

A five outfit day....

The Summary of little Paul's Saturday....

-7:00am- wake up, play in pj's for a bit- outfit #1
-7:30am- change into sweats for the day- outfit #2
-8:45am- let's just say the diaper (nor any diaper) was going to hold this in- outfit #3 (and 2nd load of wash begins)
-5:45pm- after gardening with Gram and helping daddy, mommy and BB plant the new tree, I'm soaked and covered in dirt (i had tons of fun)- but clothes are still needed in order to finish the day- outfit #4 (and load 3 of wash begins)
-6:50pm- Giants PJ's, outfit #5, are on after a well-needed bath

We haven't had a day like this since Paul was a very little baby!

Digging in the yard

what a weekend- we spent a fair amount of time outside. Paul tried out his cool blue chair (thanks, Aunt Angie, who gave it to him last summer) and was soooo happy to be sitting next to daddy in the driveway (while mommy worked in the yard...hmmm....).

On Sunday we started work on replacing a tree that had died. Paul was "helping" to dig, but then decided that the hole from the tree was a great spot to hang out. Needless to say, by 11am he was in the bathtub!

Dad's Birthday Party...a little late

It's been a busy week for the Redfern family. Mom was traveling Monday and Tuesday night in her old travel territory of Suburban Philly and Dad was home alone with Paul III. Last Saturday was Dad's 30th birthday bash where we had friends and family come and visit. Here is a picture of Dad and Uncle Chris having too much fun with Paul III's blocks.
