Elite 8 weekend

We had a great weekend. We went up and visited the Sowers and played outside on Brian James new outdoor climbing wall and slide, had pizza, watched basketball, and really enjoyed Aunt Angie's breakfast on Sunday morning.

When we got back home after nap Paul III and Daddy had a snack and watched the Davidson vs. Kansas game while playing with blocks. Here are some pictures of Paul III playing outside this week!!!

Happy Easter

We had a great easter night and morning. Here are some pictures from our time at home and with Gram and BB. In the top two, Paul decided (on his own) to tickle Grandpa BB while we were taking a family picture- it was quite humorous and mommy and BB decided to get him back :) . Paul has also started really enjoying building with blocks and had some good helpers today- he was especially proud of the tower of 5 or so blocks he stacked in the third picture.

Ready for Easter Weekend

Little Paul and mommy arrived home today to a big box on the front door... which we opened up as soon as mommy found the scissors. Paul had tons of fun opening his Easter gifts from the Grandma and Grandpa Redfern bunnies and enjoyed some colorful goldfish, cheerios and animal crackers before dinner that he found in the box (and in the fun eggs). He tries very hard to open up the easter eggs himself, but usually ends up frustrated and waving them at me (while whining) to open them for him.

Cleaning up my toys.... and then dumping them out

Mommy caught these pictures tonight as I was cleaning up my toys...

And then decided I wanted to play with the train a bit longer... so I dumped everything back out..

Sunday at home

Today mommy and I spend the afternoon playing and napping- daddy headed to a meeting near Miami after a fun lunch with us at Friendly's. Mommy is still introducing some of the toys I got for Christmas to give me "new" things to do- I just love the train set and the colorful blocks I get to stack on it.

like our new look?

mommy had some free time (finally- although not much brain power!) and decided to play around with the settings on the blog... hope you like it. We learned that we can add authors, so if anyone wants to be added as a co-author, let us know!

Outdoors, please!

Immediately after dinner tonight Paul starting pointing towards the backyard and saying "daa daa"... so he and daddy got their shoes back on and took a few rides on the slide. As you can see, Paul really enjoyed it!

New Morning Routines

Paul III has developed some new morning routines this week. In one picture you can see him helping daddy put on his socks (good thing we don't see too much leg on daddy) and he now pulls a stool over which allows him to brush his teeth at the sink

Tickle Time

We also learned this weekend that Paul understands what it means to "tickle mommy's belly" or "tickle dady's toes." He will do either, if you ask him (someday he'll learn not to go near daddy's toes). This was quite humorous and even invovled l;ittle Paul strongly nodding 'yes' to daddy's question of "should I tickle mommy?".... which, of course, he did. When we ask "should we tickle Paul," he seems to laugh and run the other direction :)

What a clean eater... at least for a few minutes...

At dinner on Sunday night we noticed that Paul had made great strides using his fork and spoon. He was able to gracefully transport the applesauce from his plate to his mouth- we are thinking we may not see this clean of a meal for a few more weeks!
We also got home tonight and enjoyed some of the "warm" evening by playing outside before dinner. Finally Paul was able to use his slide without getting frozen (and, therefore, stuck) to it.

Weekend Wrap up a little late

Last weekend Grandpa Redfern and Grandma Redfern came to visit. We played with a desk that Uncle Chris used to use and played outside. Paul also put on his sweater that Great Grandma T made him while playing with his mega blocks.
