Paul III's Christening

Sunday afternoon Paul III's family and close friends gathered for his Baptism. He was baptized at the Gettysburg College Chapel where his mommy and daddy were married about three years ago. It was a beautiful sunny day and the ceremony was very nice, although our little buddy had been trying to sleep right before his christening and then was hungry soon afterwards, so he wasn't terribly happy (as you can tell in the picture).

NFL Draft

Daddy and Paul are spending the day watching the NFL Draft on ESPN. We couldn't believe Miami didn't take Mommy's favorite player Brady Quinn. You can see we are wearing our Giants gear. Hopefully the G-Men have a good draft.

Daddy made me laugh

Tonight when we got home from work/daycare daddy and Paul played in the family room. Daddy made Paul laugh by making funny noises with his mouth. We captured Paul in mid-laugh here in this picture.

Back Home

I returned home from my Baltimore trip tonight -all was well with my family and i worked in the yard tonight preparing for our visitors this weekend. Paul III is getting Baptized on Sunday and we are very excited. I just found out that Kelly reads my blog all the time but doesn't post. So I have changed the settings on the blog so you now do not need to create an account to post to this blog.

In Baltimore

I am sitting in the bar at the Orioles Lounge in my hotel in Baltimore at a CASE Conference for marketing. Yes I look really cool with my tablet at the bar watching the Spurs game ... but hey it's Sunday night and I am the only one in here and didn't feel like walking the 2 blocks to the ESPN zone.

I had to leave at 10 this morning too bad because it was a beautiful day and I would have loved to spend it with my family outside. I got to listen to 2 presentations about market research for Generation X and Generation Y and what teenagers today are looking at and visiting on the web. Looking forward to going home tomorrow...

Happy Birthday to Daddy

Today is my 29th birthday and my first as a father. It was so much fun to wake up and see Paul III and read the cards he and his Mommy got for me. It's been a really busy week here for us. Mommy was away Monday and Tuesday night for work things and Daddy's birthday on Thursday. Mommy has GAD things Friday and Daddy is in Philly for a CASE meeting. Thank god Mom Moose is here to help us babysit

Daddy Day Care

Tonight mommy had the CPC (Central Pennsylvania Consortium) Counselor Visit Dinner on campus. After I picked Paul III up from day care we stopped by Mommy's office so we could play with her for a little bit then we came home. Paul ate almost 7 oz of mommy milk and a good helping of rice cereal. He did a great job eating. Then we cleaned up and went to bed. He had a good time talking about our weekend with Uncle Ryan.

Mommy is home!!!!!!

Mommy is home ...Mommy is home ...Mommy is home ...Mommy is home ...

Mommy has arrived home and the day with daddy and uncle Ryan is over.

Diaper Changed

Paul had to get his diaper changed a little while ago. Here is a cute picture that we had to crop. We just finished our third bottle of the day. Maybe another nap is right around the corner.

Playstation

Uncle Ryan has been breaking the rules today and playing Tiger Woods golf with Paul down in the Cave while Daddy had been hard at work in the yard and around the house trying to help mommy.

Here is a youtube video with Paul in it from this morning as well....

9:45 Feeding

Here is a picture of Uncle Ryan and Paul at the 9:45 feeding this morning. Paul just took a nap from 8;45 - 9:15 or so. The big question at this feeding was should we or should we not warm up the formula? Feel free to post comments on what we should have done. Till next time.

Just Daddy and Paul and Uncle Ryan

Good morning. It's 7:45 and Paul and I have been up since 6:15...(see the post about the little rooster). Mommy is at the Junior open house at Gettysburg College today so it's just Daddy and Paul and Uncle Ryan is here visiting. We had fun last night when we picked Paul up from daycare. This morning we had a good time getting a little extra sleep in Daddy and Mommy's bed. Then we came out and had a "mommy snack". Now we are on the floor playing.

Global Warming - a new thought

So I have always been concerned about the environment. I try to recycle. I don't litter. My wife and I drive 1 car to work. I have learned about global warming since elementary school but it has never been a big deal to me until today. I came home from work played with Paul III and after we put him to bed read Newsweek. Newsweek was focused on the environment and had a section on Global Warming. As I was reading the article I realized that global warming may have a small effect on my life but what effect might it have on Paul's life or on his children's lives? Now that was a powerful thought.

5:45 is way to early

This morning Paul III decided to grace us with his musical talents starting at 5:45 am. I rolled over to say good morning to my wife and we both just smiled and listened. Much to our dismay he did not go back to sleep. When we picked him up at daycare later on he was a little sluggish and probably feeling the effects of this early wake up.

Paul III Video

Here is a video of my son Paul from the middle of Feb.

My son

My son Paul Wayne Redfern III was born on November 9, 2006. It was one of the best days of my life. Everyday when my "rooster" as he has become known around my house wakes us up around 6:15 am we have a blast until we put him to bed.
