Week with my Uncle's

Uncle Chris and Uncle Ryan left this morning to go back to NJ. We were very lucky that they were able to visit as long as they did. Here are a few pictures from the week that they were here teaching me a few new things and playing in the snow!

Christmas 2007

What a special Christmas this was for all of the Redferns. Little Paul was a delight during Christmas Eve (at mommy and daddy's house), Christmas morning opening up tons of presents (and helping everyone else with theirs), and at Gram and Grandad BB's house Christmas day. Grandma and Grandpa Redfern, along with Uncle Chris and Uncle Ryan, stayed with us for Christmas and Aunt Char and Charles came as well.

Little Paul got a basketball hoop, a slide/swing for the backyard, tunnels in which to crawl (mommy and daddy got stuck!), a sled, a cool garage with three cars, a john deere tractor to ride and much more (Santa was very nice to him- he's been a good boy this year :). The best gift of all was having all of our family here to celebrate Christmas- Uncle Chris even stayed for a few extra days and Uncle Ryan came back and stayed for a few extra days.

Another of little Paul's "presents" was to have ear tubes put in the day after Christmas to help reduce the fluid that had built up (and to alleviate his common ear infections from this fall). Mommy and daddy had an early morning (and then a long day) taking him to Hanover Hospital. When he was under anesthesia, the doctor also removed Paul's adenoids (they're between your nose and throat along the line of your ears) since they were really big and clogging things up for him. Needless to say, he was not a happy camper afterwards and has taken some time to feel like himself again. Mommy and daddy go back to work on Wednesday and were happy to be able to watch him the past few days as he's recovered.

December 23

We had a great day today. Last night Paul and Leigh-Anne celebrated Christmas with Uncle Dave and Aunt Angie in Lancaster while Paul III stayed over Grandma and Grandpa Bennett's house. This morning we woke up and went down to the Bennett's to see Paul and open some gifts from the grandparents.

One of Paul's favorite toys is pictured here a new John Deere tractor! You can see Daddy took the corner a little too fast and Paul III sort of fell off... notice the sheep toy in Paul III's mouth.

7 days to Christmas

As Christmas preparations pick up at the Redfern house here are a few pictures from the last week. Paul playing with some of this new (cup toys) that mommy gave him in the kitchen and eating cookies and milk with Grandpa Bennett.

George!

We wanted everyone to meet Paul's favorite toy- the Curious George he received for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa Redfern. George gets carried around the living room and also serves as Paul's best friend and wrestling partner......

Watching the game with Daddy

On Sunday when I woke up from a long nap, it was snack time so daddy treated me to snack time in front of the tv as we finished watching the Giants beat the Eagles (sorry, Aunt Char and Aunt Kerry!). I was sooooo excited. Mommy and Gram Bennett arrived back from some shopping and were able to catch this picture.

Mum mum! Mum mum!

Mommy got her best Christmas gift of all on Saturday- little Paul said "mum mum" :) "da daa" and "wah dat" are still favorites, but mommy is so thrilled that her little guy is now saying her name. Paul helped to decorate our tree on Sunday afternoon and would place some of the ornaments in the branches ... and then try to pull off the ones which were already attached to the tree.

Little Paul also spent his whole first day in the young toddler room today, and did great. He now eats breakfast when he gets to school with the other 1-2 year olds at their little table (just adorable) and is also back with his first teacher, Miss Debbie. We know that he will miss Miss Kathy and Miss Diane who have been his teachers since September.

Long Time, No Posts

Hi folks- sorry for the delay in updates. We had a great Thanksgiving in West Caldwell with the Redferns although both Pauls ended up not feeling all that well. Daddy is finally starting to feel better and little Paul is hopefully on the tail end of an ear infection-sluggish-cold-eye/nose congestion train.

We had a lot of fun on Saturday getting our Christmas tree (only parents with little kids are up and at the tree place at 9am!) and mommy is thrilled that it's so tall- it reaches the top window in our living room. So far little Paul is enjoying looking at and gently touching the tree and, of course, he loves the lights :) We even got a little snow tonight so it really feels like Christmas time!

Brushing my teeth and drinking big boy milk!

I now get to brush my teeth twice a day. I love to do it myself after mommy or daddy are done with the "real" brushing. On Thursday I started drinking some "big boy" milk (whole milk). I'm liking it so far and I'm getting a lot better with my sippy cup.

Thanksgiving, Take One

We all went to Gram and Grandad BB's house for Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday night. Little Paul even got to have a sleepover- Gram even made him a special breakfast with some eggs.

Party Time

thanks to everyone who came to Paul III's party today. We had a great time, enjoyed good food, good friends, family, and cake!

Uncle Dave and Aunt Angie came to visit with Brian this weekend. We had a good time with the boys and you can see here how lunch with both Dads went while the moms were playing golf.

Happy Halloween

It's Halloween today and Paul III's first of many costumes. As previously reported on this site Paul will parade around today as a Stop Light. Hope you all get lots of candy!!!

Pizza Cowboy

Paul III goes to the ear nose and throat doctor on Monday to see if we can get him some help with his ear infections. Here he is wearing a cowboy hat and eating a slice of pizza at lunch today.

My New Favorite Toy

Hi everyone- I have found a great new toy- the laundry basket (mommy seems to use it alot). Whenever I see it, I push it all around the room... through the doors and even in the hallway (until I run into these silly gates mommy and dady have up near the stairs :)

hi Daddy- hope all is well in Rochester. Mommy and I are having a good morning- I've found the wrapping paper in the cave again.... ha ha.

Today mommy and daddy may take me to my first college football game- I already have on my Gettysburg sweatshirt from Joe and Kelly Lynch so I'm ready to go. My four top teeth are really starting to show.

Just for mom

Delinquent

So you may not believe it but we have been busy the past week or so and have not been able to post many pictures. Paul is cutting 4 teeth on the top of his mouth which has made him a joy to be around. Here are a few pictures for your viewing enjoyment.

At home with mommy

Today I went to the dr's and I have ear infections again.... although I can't feel all that bad since I decided to explore under the kitchen table today :) Mommy stayed home with me and we had a fun lunch with daddy since my doctor's appointment was right before lunchtime. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back at school as mommy will be visiting high schools in the Baltimore area and daddy has a busy day at work. I'm also waiting for our phone to ring with the exciting news of Julia Keane's new sibling who should be arriving soon.

Aunt Char and Colgate Man

Mommy got back from Texas on Saturday just in time for Mommy and Daddy to go to the Cupola Society Annual Celebration at Gettysburg College. Daddy wore a tuxedo with his orange and blue bow tie and Mommy wore a pretty black dress. Aunt Char and Grandma Bennett who were visiting babysat. Here is a picture from this morning when Paul III wearing his new Colgate shirt and Aunt Char were playing.

While Mom is away the boys will play

Mom is in texas at the National Admissions Conference and Grandma Bennett is here to help out and watch little Paul. Here is a picture from breakfast this morning. We had honeydew mellon, toast, cereal, and applesauce.

Dinner Time

After going to Oktoberfest at our friends house for a few hours we came home tonight and prepared Paul a dinner of Balsamic Vinegar Grilled Chix with chopped carrots and cheese.

Surprise Visit to NJ

Saturday morning we woke up and little Paul was doing so much better than earlier in the week. So in a move reminiscent of President Bush visiting Iraq on Thanksgiving we made a surprise visit to New Jersey to visit Grandma and Grandpa R, Great Grandma T, and Uncle Chris. Here is a photo from this morning with Paul using his new walking toy in the kitchen.

What a week

Little Paul started the week with a double ear infection. Mommy and Daddy tried their best to make him happy but to no avail at times. Then we found out on Thursday that the medicine he was taking was making him sick as well. So we are on to better medicine and Paul III had a good day at daycare. Here is a picture of Paul playing with the pots in his new Giants gear and walking in his Mets uniform.
